Across the span of the past year, Nintendo has yet to disappoint when a special edition Nintendo Switch comes. In 2021, we saw the arrival of the Nintendo Switch Lite for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl. But with a bigger surprise, neither Pokémon Legends: Arceus nor Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet faced the same attention.
However, the OLED side of things were not as neglected. In that, fall welcomed the Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch OLED Edition system. And this past May featured The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED Edition console as well. This past week also introduced the Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition. And while this holiday is to likely bring back Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundles once more, it is confirmed a twist is coming for its available stock.
To get the most obvious out of the way, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is receiving another bundle. This time is comes with a three-month trial for Nintendo Switch Online. What is an even bigger reveal comes with a new Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing: New Horizon edition. Alongside both turquoise & pink versions, each come with a specialized decal inspired by the game. In Europe, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle is replaced by the Nintendo Switch Sports Bundle instead.

Each Animal Crossing: New Horizons-inspired Nintendo Switch Lite bundle will be available at a suggested retail price of $199.99.” Nintendo goes on to nod that the Coral model will be unique to Target retailers whilst the Turquoise model is exclusive to Wal-Mart locations.
