Nintendo Switch Online Adds New ‘Mature 17+’ Collection With Games Turok & Perfect Dark

Over at Nintendo, the platform giant remains to lead in properties, hardware, and is pioneering software that competitors have since followed in its shadow. Specifically on subscriptions, Nintendo Switch Online remains to be a major center for gross revenue. As of fall 2023, it was reported that a total of 38 million users are actively members for Nintendo Switch Online.

Of course, there is online play functionality. But also the growing list of virtual console titles. Previously, we witnessed the additions of Killer Instinct, Battletoads In Battlemaniacs, Snake Rattle N Roll, R.C. Pro-Am, and Blast Corps in February. And not too long ago, the libraries went on to welcome over a handful of Mega Man titles from the GameBoy.

Now at the Nintendo Direct, a new collection dubbed ‘Mature 17+’ for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was added for the Nintendo 64 virtual library. Four games are coming today to the service, Turok, Perfect Dark, Metroid: Zero Mission, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“A new collection of MATURE 17+ Nintendo 64 games is on the way for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members**! Brave the dangerous Lost Land in Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and end an alien conspiracy in the PERFECT DARK game developed by Rare — now with online multiplayer — as part of the new Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online: MATURE 17+ collection of games,” the press release reveals.

“Play two of Link’s classic adventures, including one with online multiplayer, in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords, and suit up for a remake of Samus’s first adventure in Metroid: Zero Mission. Both games will be available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack** members later today!”
