Nintendo Switch Online To Add Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie Next Month In January

In the realm of services from platform holders, Nintendo Switch users watch over titular Nintendo with the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. While the original $20 a year service featured virtual libraries for the Nintendo Entertainment System & Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the firm is branching out with more platforms including a new price point. In that, both Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis is part of this new tier.

Not too long after did Nintendo go on to feature that the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons add-on ‘Happy Home Paradise’ will be bundled with the subscription at no additional cost. But, when will more games come to the new platforms handed over? Well, Nintendo just this month issued the new addition of Paper Mario 64 which many are excited to see be welcomed aboard.

But looking ahead, there is another slated for January 2022. Yes, there is no proper release date as of writing, however, that timeframe is confirmed for the arrival of Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie.

Additionally, Nintendo gave Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass more attention earlier on. In that, the Japanese firm added additional support to the newly introduced wireless Nintendo 64 controller. Specifically for the Super Mario 3d All-Stars game, owners can now enjoy the 1996 title Super Mario 64 with the original gamepad on modern hardware.

Elsewhere, there has been some hesitation towards the latest subscription tier for Nintendo Switch Online. With the addition of the Expansion Pass for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo Support disclosed access to the DLC can be severed if you do not pay your annual fee for the service.
