With Capcom’s upcoming Devil May Cry V launching just under two weeks from today, for those who are hoping to see some form of post-launch content somewhere down the line will be disappointed. As it was revealed earlier this week that the game will on be receiving a free update in the following months, but it’s nothing new.

The game’s Producer Matt Walker on Twitter revealed that for any new downloadable content coming to the series’ fifth installment is not being planned. But what will be reintroduced in the free update is the franchise’s iconic Blood Palace wave mode.

Reflecting on previous Devil May Cry titles, it is pretty evident that skins for characters as well as weapons did make their way onto the game’s store over more story content. So it is a pretty fair guess that the same will be happening to the approaching early March release.

It is also known that the upcoming hack and slash will also feature microtransactions when the game drops. Which will be similar to Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition which hosts the option to use real-world currency to buy in-game items like red orbs.

Devil May Cry V will be out on March 5, 2019 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
