Despite the inflicted novel coronavirus epidemic which restricted the world from social gatherings and other in-person shows for majority of 2020, the video game industry has found alternatives to still maintain functioning events through digital means. Although conventions like Gamescom were shelved for public attendance, the organizers alongside Geoff Keighley reworked the event to be attended online for users at home to engage in.
And again, the same is to be done for this year’s The Game Awards as well. Keighley previously announced that fans can anticipate the show to go live on December 10 next month. And alike preceding shows, there will be a selection of nominees to decide for notable categories coming the show’s arrival. Keighley did clarify that while there will be different things for 2020’s show, traditional voting for categories are still to be expected.
Now today, Geoff Keighley alongside the team responsible for The Game Awards are happy to unveil the full list of nominated games, people, and other relevant factors within the gaming sphere. You can read the full list below:

In total, there are 30 votes to be casted and the internet will ultimately decide which games/groups are to be best top 2020. While much of this year surely left the world in disarray with social interactions being discouraged from respected governments, there is a lot of good that came from the past 12 months.
Atop of awards, there are also game showcases to be present. However, 343 Industries disclosed Halo Infinite will not be one of them. The developer did explain a “high level” update will be shared in the coming weeks, just not at the annual event. You can read the full report by heading here.
