Leaning more towards the start of the generation of the Nintendo Switch, high speculation at the time surrounded the possibility of Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch to at some point arrive on Nintendo’s latest console. However, as time passed on, the countless anticipating fans soon faded away from the hope of the game’s debut on the Switch. Especially seeing the release of Hi-Rez’s Paladins already released on the handheld console, the chances seemed more unlikely than ever.

But that previous notion seemed to have flipped 180 degrees as a recent discovery on Amazon have lead to heavy belief of the game still planned to arrive on the Nintendo Switch. According to a listing on Amazon, there is a carrying case-themed to the game with a matching color scheme and the game’s logo.

The listing reads to be a licensed directly through both Nintendo and Blizzard, the description says. “Officially Licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment.”

Shortly after the news broke via Twitter, the case mysteriously vanished from the online retailer as either one of parties decided to delist the product. Mainly do to the vocal fan superstition, the main reason that influenced the delisting looks to primarily shield an official port for the game on Nintendo Switch until properly done so.

Looking to when exactly, fans are urging that a Nintendo Direct is bound to arrive sometime in just a few short weeks seeing that the company tends to host a presentation roughly around the transition into Fall. On the other hand, if that is not the case, another safe bet is at this year’s BlizzCon which is hosted this coming November.

Do you think this might imply a Overwatch Switch port?

Overwatch is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
