This week, publisher Panic held a ‘Panic Games Showcase’ featuring its publishing lineup from now and entering into 2024. During the initial announcement, both NOUR: Play With Your Food and despelote were confirmed to be included during the showcase. Additionally, despite launching the Playdate Panic confirmed there would be no new announcements at the late August presentation.
And during the showcase on Tuesday, it was confirmed that NOUR: Play With Your Food is scheduled to launch September 12th. The other title – despelote – did receive a 2024 release window. The publisher also featured both Arco & Thank Goodness You’re Here! which are also confirmed to be launching next year.
What truly surprised the viewers is the number of additional teams that Panic will be taking on to publish atop of the featured projects. Especially House House – the developer that launched Untitled Goose Game back in fall 2019. “Panic also announced that they will be publishing Time Flies by Playables, developers of Kids and Plug & Play. Time Flies will be landing in 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.”
“The press release continues: “Panic also announced that they will be publishing the next game from Okomotive, makers for FAR: Lone Sails and FAR: Changing Tides. The game will be set outside the FAR universe and will be their largest game to date. More will be announced at a later date.
“Last but not least, Panic is also pleased to reveal that they are once again working with House House (Untitled Goose Games, Push Me Pull You). While details are under wraps for now, the game will not be a sequel to Untitled Goose Game and is definitely not what you would expect from the team!”
