The latest Nintendo Direct shared announcements for projects we already knew about and surprise announcements sprinkled in. The digital show announced a new Mario vs. Donkey Kong game, revealed more about Princess Peach Showtime!, and announced the popular GameCube title, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be coming to Nintendo Switch as a remaster.

The announcement came at the end of the Nintendo Direct and it looks like the remaster comes with new visuals and other improvements than the original.

“Turn the page and join Mario and friends in an RPG adventure to discover the legendary treasure behind the ancient Thousand-Year Door. Will Mario complete his papery quest, or will he crumple under the pressure?”

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will come to Nintendo Switch in 2024. A release date was not specified yet.
