PAX East: Alien Hominid Invasion brings back classic vibes

The Behemoth made the return to PAX East after being absent last year and they are back with their new Alien Hominid Invasion title coming out later this year. We had the opportunity to have a lengthy play session that included lots of fun and chaos.

If you aren’t sure of what Alien Hominid Invasion is we have a brief description of it below:

Alien Hominid Invasion is a co-op run ‘n’ gun packed with chaos, mayhem, and a whole lot of explosions. Unlock and equip an arsenal of weapons and boosts, level up, then beam down to invade Earth with up to three other friends. Abduct intel from your enemies to sabotage their plans, observe the oddities of human life, blow up bosses, and mutate into a variety of powerful Alien forms in order to take down the not-so-secret Agents that are dead set on ruining your day.

Alien Hominid Invasion is not a remaster of the original game from 2004 as someone from The Behemoth team told me they view it as more of a “reimagination” with lots of new elements. The game also features four player co-op and you can play missions in non-linear order.

When it comes to customization, Alien Hominid Invasion has a lot to offer from Alien heads to new weapons to new abilities the possibilities will feel endless when the game officially releases. If you know The Behemoth you know they always have great options to personalize your characters so you can feel different than your co-op friends.

Something else that was confirmed from the session provided to us was that the Alien Hominid Invasion have collectibles and when it comes to the length of the games’ story it is still unknown how long it will take to complete.
