Pepper Grinder, a dynamic platform game with particularly satisfying drill mechanics, lush pixel art, wacky enemies, and challenging obstacles was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. The game was developed solo by Ahr Ech and published by Devolver Digital.
Pepper Grinder features a treasure hunter named Pepper. His magical drill is his most precious asset: it allows him to move through the depths of the earth as easily as a dolphin on the high seas.
An exceptional storm has ravaged his ship: Pepper washes up on the dangerous shores of a mysterious island, prey to creatures similar to narwhals. These mischievous buccaneers, known as Narlings, have seized his precious treasure!
It is her impromptu meeting with a gleaming drill, aptly named Grinder, which will save her day: she is now armed to respond to this major threat. To get her hands on her lost riches, Pepper will have to drill into the four corners of the island. The Narlings and their enigmatic leader were wrong to mess with someone who wields this oversized conical tool so well.
Pepper Grinder will be a console exclusive to Nintendo Switch and will come to PC on March 28, 2024. A demo of the game is available now through the Nintendo eShop and on Steam.
