Yesterday, January 9th, 2017 was a sad day for Xbox fans and for the fans that were excited for Scalebound by Platinum Games to launch this year on Xbox One. Since then Microsoft has been deleting just about everything Scalebound on their website and every video on Youtube.
Now of course fans have taken the questions to the Xbox Boss known as Phil Spencer on Twitter and he doesn’t go quiet after this news. Spencer said the decision was “difficult” but added he believes it’s better for Xbox fans in the long run. Continuing, he expressed confidence in the games Microsoft has lined up for 2017.
Difficult decision, we believe result is better 4 Xbox gamers, still disappointing. Im confident in 17 lineup thats our focus

Development on Scalebound, an action-RPG featuring dragons and online co-op, was led by Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya. Platinum has not discussed whether development of the game could continue separate from its partnership with Microsoft.
You have to think a game like Scalebound won’t just go to trash after years of hard work. We will see what happens in the future.
