Developer ARVORE Immersive Experiences has transitioned into a household name regarding the platform of virtual reality titles following the release of 2018’s Pixel Ripped 1989. Tasking the player with retro-styled platformers of the 1980s, the experience would shift from the screen to reality as the game would flood into the young protagonist’s life and you would have to use your fast reflexes to extinguish the digital invasion.

Now fast-forwarding to 2020, ARVORE has returned with the second installment, moving an entire console generation. Announcing Pixel Ripped 1995, the game is as you would expect from its predecessor, but offers more variety as the player can now experience the games of 16-bit & 32-bit visuals this time around.

While the storyline will again recruit a partaking child with virtual protagonist Dot, Pixel ripped 1995 instead offers a plethora of different generation-defining genres. Games ranging from role-playing, racers, fighters, and platformers will be introduced throughout the plot’s duration. Even more, the trailer emphasizes on competing platforms that will certainly cause some rivalries.

Atop of the situations that you will face in the video game, the same enemies and other hurdles will also inject themselves into the real world and you must use your gaming knowledge and wits to overtake the digitally invading foes. The player can also expect these battle to range between a slew of different relatable settings as you progress as well.

ARVORE announces that fans on Oculus, Steam, and Vive can expect the game to arrive this coming Thursday, April 23. As for the remaining PlayStation VR version, the studio shares that more information on the respected port will arrive at a later time in May.
