Planet Of Lana Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass Day One Launch In Spring 2023

In the realm of things Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft continues to deliver on exciting releases for the service. Just this week, we got the new roundup for titles coming to the subscription library later this month. That includes Fenyx Immortals Rising alongside Midnight Fight Express & Opus: Echo of Starsong. But, that is only the tip of the iceberg apparently.

According to the PC Game Pass Twitter account, it uploaded a cryptic image in one post alongside updating its profile picture as well. From users online, it did not take long to come to the conclusion on the game: Death Stranding. However, the title is a Sony Interactive Entertainment-published title unique for PC. But the takeaway is the PC version was instead published by 505 Games which could be the reasoning for this implication.

On Wednesday, the Xbox firm alongside Wishfully Studios revealed that Planet of Lana will be arriving to the service come this spring in 2023. You can watch the Xbox Game Pass trailer in the video below:

“We initially planned for Planet of Lana to launch this year, however as development has progressed throughout 2022, we realized that in order to meet our standards, we need a little more time to get Planet of Lana right and ensure it lives up to the vision we have presented for it so far,” says Wishfully Studios Creative Director Adam Stjärnljus.

“We also think that we owe this to you, the players, not to compromise this experience just to meet a date. We think the extra few months wait will be worth it and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Delaying a game is never an easy call to make, but with all the support we have received thus far, we hope to make everyone happy when it launches.

“On a brighter note, we are also extremely excited to finally announce that Planet of Lana will also be available day one with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, so anyone subscribed to those services or to Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play our off-earth odyssey as soon as it is ready.”
