Just last week, PUBG Corp. officially released Season 7 for the same-named PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC. Offering a new fresh breath of air into the pre-existing Vikendi map and clearing all the snow, players have a reason to drop back n atop of new themed cosmetics to complement the scenery of Dinoland and all of its attractions.
And with the addition of consoles for Season 7, Xbox One & PlayStation 4, we did not expect a third to be joining the party. In a new announcement today, Stadia is the next platform to indulge in one of the most popular battle royales that have edged the genre into popularity.
You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
Alike with already-supported platforms that integrated cross-platform play, Stadia’s version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds can do the same thing. This marking the second cross-play supported title on the platform following behind The Division 2. Stadia cross-play with the game is said to be compatible with both PC alongside its console counterparts.
Even more, players deciding to pick up the game on the platform can also decide between keyboard & mouse or controller for their preference. And with the benefit of Stadia, players will have the option to play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds from either their PC, television, or supported smart phone with no disruption.
Evident from the trailer, the respected Stadia version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will also ship with a slew of specialized cosmetics if you pick up either the Pioneer Edition ($39.99) or Chicken Dinner Edition ($59.99) of the game. These in-game items are: Premiere Glasses; Premiere Helmet (l.v. 3); Premiere Hoodie; Premiere Parachute; Premiere Pan.
To top this announcement, Google announced that current Stadia Pro owners can play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds right now. So virtually anyone can play the game as Stadia Pro will be available for at least another month. The announcement was made earlier this month and is still in effect.
Are you down to try out PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Stadia?
