It seems that the extent of experience at Playground Games is planning to grow as the British-based studio has revealed that a few new faces from big AAA developers will be joining the ranks of the Forza Horizon team.
Knowing what Playground has recently been tinkering on with the latest Forza Horizon 4 LEGO expansion that dropped just last week, the developer announced that faces from Rockstar Games and the now closed Lionsgate Studios will be the new talent at the Playground. Through the LinkedIn post, Playground enthusiastic to introduced the three new additions to the studio:
Michael Leones who previously worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 at Rockstar Games San Diego following the game’s launch in late 2018 will be taking the position as Principal Technical Designer.
Another former Rockstar developer, Neil Davies who worked as a Senor Lighting Artist with Rockstar Games North is now posed as a Principal Lighting Designer at Playground Games.
Then the introduction of Tom Maddocks who have previously worked with Ubisoft acquired Massive Entertainment along with Lionsgate Studios on the now cancelled Fable Legends previously as an Audio Intern; now tasked with the role as an Audio Designer – Grade 2.
Seemingly, following the three new hires, it’s easy to speculate that the project the three will be working on is the unannounced Fable project that has been reported to been in development since early 2018. Though we have yet to see any official news on the coming game as this year’s E3 has came and went, the closest possibility is looking at the forthcoming X019 event in London this November.
What are your thoughts on the three new additions to the Playground Games team?
