We are now in our 3rd year for the PlayStation 4 and the best year yet, while 2014 and 2015 were good years for PlayStation 4 owners. 2015 looks to be amazing, there’s a lot of great games coming out this year. Here are some of the  PlayStation 4 exclusives ,that you should look forward to in 2016.

Street Fighter V (PlayStation 4 console exclusive & PC). The latest game in the long running fighting game series, Street Fighter V is almost here, And after playing the beta (even with it’s early server issues), My hype for the game is high, the gameplay was fast and it looks great, I was not a fan of Street Fighter IV (or Super Street Fighter IV etc), but for Street Fighter V , I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s because it’s been a few years since I have played a game in the series, but I loved the beta and I can’t wait to play the full game. Street Fighter V will be released in February 16th 2016

MLB The Show 16. Sony for a long time now (since 2006) has released a new MLB The Show game every year, and this year is no different, I have not played the games myself and I don’t know much about baseball but, I’m sure that the latest game in the series will be good with new players and move. MLB The Show 16 will be released March 29th 2016

Ratchet & Clank (PS4) is the latest game in the platformer series , which is based off the upcoming movie which is due in April 2016 (The movie is based off the first game for the PlayStation 2, with some things changed). The game looks like a pixar movie come to life, It really does, with that said the gameplay and story should be very familiar,, as I said it will be based off a movie which is based off the first game in the series, and that is nothing wrong with that. The game looks like it will be a lot of fun, just like all the others in the series. Ratchet & Clank (PS4) will be released in April 12th 2016.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted 4 is one of the biggest games of this year and even though it got delayed by a few weeks from March to April, I have no worries that the last game in the series (By Naughty Dog anyway) will be anything less then amazing, After playing the beta at the end of 2015, This could be the best Uncharted game yet , the story from what we have seen so far seems very interesting , and even will be letting have some choice, like in Mass Effect. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be released in April 26th  2016.

Gran Turismo Sport, which was announced at Paris Games Week in 2015, is the latest game in the  racing series , is due out sometime in  2016 , though no release date was given . Sony did say that the game would include three game modes, Campaign, Sports Mode, Arcade Mode, and will also have PlayStation VR support. A beta is also due out this year as well. Release date not known yet, likely end of 2016.

The Last Guardian, After not showing anything for years, Sony at E3 2015, announced that Team Icons latest game would at last be released in 2016, and showed off a new gameplay video, and while it may not look as good as Uncharted 4 or Horizon Zero Dawn, that’s not the point of Team Icon games, and if it is anything like Icon and Shadow of the Colossus, It will be a game worth playing if you care about gameplay. Release date not known yet, Likely end of 2016.

Persona 5, Is Atlus  latest JRPG, and while spin offs have appeared on other consoles, the main series has been PlayStation exclusive since the start, and they have been some of the best JRPGs I have played, and if you own a PlayStation Vita or PlayStation 3 you can play Persona 1-4 ,  which you should do if you enjoy JRPGs, and while Persona 5 does not look to change a lot from Persona 4, the story seems to be a lot darker. Persona 5 will be released summer of 2016 in Japan and end of 2016 in the  US (EU players will likely have to wait till 2017, as has been the case with all Persona games.)

Horizon Zero Dawn, Is the upcoming RPG made, by the team behind the KillZone Series, Guerrilla Games, Announced at E3 2015, This looks amazing and if I had to pick one game to get next year it likely would be Horizon Zero Dawn, why?, It will have robot  dinosaurs!. The game is set a 1000 years in the future in a post apocalyptic world, from the game play we have seen it seems like it will play a lot like Assassin’s creed and other RPG games such as Skyrim etc, it will also have a dynamic day and night cycle and a rather system, also no loading screens which is awesome, No release date know yet, likely end of 2016.

These are just some of the PlayStation 4 exclusives  coming in 2016, there’s No Man Sky in June, Star Ocean 5 at somepoint this year along with Dreams which is being made by the makers of Little Big Planet, there is also  3rd party games such as Far Cry Primal, the next Assassin’s Creed and more, even games that are likely  coming out in 2017 such as Ni No Kuni II, Wild, Detroit: Become Human and more. It’s a good time to be a PlayStation 4 owner.
