PlayStation 5 Launch Title Destruction AllStars Gets Abrupt Delay To February 2021

To those that might recall the first PlayStation 5 showcase held in June earlier this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment delivered on providing its followers with unique announcements and a myriad of other marketed experiences arriving to next-generation systems. One hitting PlayStation 5 is Destruction AllStars: a new project from Lucid Games integrating energetic ambience with a destruction derby.

The initial trailer shared to be a well-developed release as the game got framed to arrive the same day as when the PlayStation 5 launches. However, in just weeks before the system releases, a new statement has been released which discloses that Destruction AllStars will not be making it in time for mid November.

In a new blog post, Lucid Games shares that the game will now be at the beginning of February 2021. While it is left undetermined for the reasoning of the delay, the studio does mention that the title will be available for no additional cost for PlayStation Plus subscribers next year.

We’ve decided to move the game’s release from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost.

Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?

So now, there is even more benefits already for those paying for PlayStation Plus on PlayStation 5. This on top of the previously announced PlayStation Plus Collection. This new catalogue offers an onslaught of first-party releases as well as a selection of AAA titles that users do not need to pay extra for.

Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment spared the official release date for the PlayStation 5 which also did the same for Destruction AllStars at the time. The firm revealed pricing for the game and Demon’s Souls will be $69.99 instead of the traditional $59.99. You can read the full report by heading here.
