PlayStation 5 Owners Can Cash In On Six-Months Of Free Apple TV Starting This Week

For the sake of entertainment on the latest console hardware, it is clear that both Sony & Microsoft is not directly capitalizing on creating an expansive entertainment device. Interactive entertainment, yes. But, television and film is not the firm’s priorities for the Xbox & PlayStation respectively. With that, OneGuide for Xbox has been relinquished back in May this year alongside the TV Listings feature as well.

As for the PlayStation side of things, both television and film are being ripped from the PlayStation Store this year. In that, Sony Interactive Entertainment slated the official dismissal of entertainment from the storefront this August as well. But, streaming platforms are all the rave currently for the market. With that, both Sony & Microsoft already issued what is prepared for the platforms when launching last year.

In a new announcement on Thursday, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed that PlayStation 5 owners can cash in on an exclusive deal. In that, users can now redeem six-months worth of Apple TV.

Redeem your offer between now and July 22nd, 2022 and start watching critically acclaimed Apple Originals series and films. Enjoy fan favorites like Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis, See starring Jason Momoa with Dave Bautista and Alfre Woodard, and the highly anticipated sci-fi drama Foundation.

In the FAQ for the new promotion offered by Apple and Sony Interactive Entertainment, they do confirm current subscribers can indulge on the new offer. However, it is not redeemable if you are part of Apple One or other programs similar. “If you have a current Apple TV+ free trial or are already subscribed, you can redeem this offer. If you’ve subscribed to Apple TV+ through a bundle offer like Apple One, you are not eligible to redeem this offer.”

Elsewhere recently for PlayStation 5 owners, it is revealed that users can also sign-up for early access to new firmware patches for the newest console. With that, players can sample new features before its sent to the majority of systems later on. You can read the full report by heading here.
