Over at PlayStation Now, the service continues to grow in its own respected with promised additions to the subscription by the year’s end. Already, we are familiar with the arrangement between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Square Enix: from September to January the service will face a new Final Fantasy title.
Additionally, Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto III: Definitive Edition will hit the service in December. Already, Xbox Game Pass introduced Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Definitive Edition last month. In November for PlayStation Now, we witnessed Celeste, Final Fantasy IX, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Totally Reliable Delivery Service hit the service then.
Now for December 2021, everything comes full circle with four new added titles for subscribers starting on Tuesday. Those games are:
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
Grand Theft Auto III: The Definitive Edition
John Wick Hex
Spitlings
Noted, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, John Wick Hex, and Spitlings are all set to be permanent additions to PlayStation Now. But as for what is planned for Grand Theft Auto III: The Definitive Edition, players only get two months before its removal on January 31st the blog post discloses.
In a recent report from Bloomberg, Sony Interactive Entertainment appears to be combining the forces of PlayStation Now & PlayStation Plus into one. Codenamed ‘Spartacus’, it will be a new subscription tier which includes support for legacy titles which branches from PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3.
