PlayStation Plus January 2021 Lineup Starts January 5th With Greedfall, Maneater, & Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

Weird as it is to say, 2020 is finally over. But while the elephant in the room that is the COVID-19 epidemic is still lingering for the time being, the stresses of the real world is far from over. Regardless, with a new year – and more certainly a new month – Sony Interactive Entertainment welcomes in a new batch of titles for its PlayStation Plus free games.

For January 2021, PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect the following to be welcomed starting Tuesday: Greedfall, Maneater, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Collectively, the three listed releases are surely another welcomed batch of titles for players to explore as they welcome a new year. However, there is still one more if you somehow missed the opportunity.

It is until January 4th that PlayStation Plus users can redeem a free digital copy of Young Horse’s Bugsnax. The game is available for both PlayStation 4 as well as PlayStation 5; allowing users on each platform to install the game respectively. And more excitingly, the game is cross-gen compatible so moving to the latest PlayStation will be followed with Bugsnax.

For more on the coming PlayStation Plus additions for January 2021, Rectify Gaming has issued two reviews for the approaching titles. Our very own David Rodriguez said this upon playing through Spiders’ title: “Greedfall fills a void in character driven RPG’s, and delivers an experience worthy of comparison to some of the genre’s best.”

“Shadow of the Tomb Raider stands as not just the best game in the entire trilogy, but one of the best action-adventure games period, Rodriguez writes in his final review for the Crystal Dynamics entry. “Overall, I absolutely recommend Shadow of the Tomb Raider – a clear Game of the Year candidate for me.”
