Sony finished up their first State of Play of the year on Thursday where they showcased Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin among many other games. As we get closer to Spring there will be the anticipation of what we previously knew as “E3 presentations” and it seems Sony will be doing theirs early.

According to John Harker who had a history of being correct in the past claims that a PlayStation Showcase is coming in May.

On Thursday in a ResetEra post, John said “What gets shown now and what gets saved for the May “e3″ show”

It wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Sony do something earlier than everyone else as they’ve already shown they like to do their own thing. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft, Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft and others will do their biggest presentation of the year earlier than the middle of June or July.
