Just like in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater waiting out the death for the Ancient Sniper, fans have an extensive amount of patience for the franchise. For years already, fans await news on the upcoming film adaptation. Jordan Vogt-Robert (Kong: Skull Island) is in the directors chair with Oscar Isaac to star as Solid Snake. But it has been years since the original casting was revealed.
This past week, however, remains the most active Metal Gear has been since then. At the PlayStation Showcase Konami unveiled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a complete remake of the aforementioned 2004 release. Additionally, Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 – a compilation of the original trilogy for newer consoles.
More exciting is the anthology is not too far from releasing with an autumn launch window. The first volume was said to include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. But now, it appears there is more included in this bundle than what is shared officially.
When reflecting on the official website, it only lists the three mentioned games already. It also noted to “stay tuned for more information” on likely other additions to come for or after Vol. 1 ships. Well, according to the PlayStation Store, Vol. 1 has more to offer. In that, both Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are also part of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1.
