Since day one of Destiny PlayStation always had the marketing and exclusive DLC and there has for sure been outrage at this deal for Xbox fans as they were promised the new content after the game turned a year old. Xbox One users eventually got the first set of exclusives.
It was recently announced in a blog post from Bungie that the weapons, armor, and playable activities that have been available only on PlayStation will transfer to the Xbox in October, 2017. Exclusive content from The Taken King will migrate to all four launch platforms, including legacy consoles – including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Exclusive content from Rise of Iron will only migrate to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’ll follow up with a more exact date before it arrives.
The confusing part about this is that by October of this year the sequel to Destiny will be out as it releases September 6, 2017 and at the point in October the Destiny 1 will sadly be irrelevant to most of the community.
Let’s hope Bungie/Activision handles the exclusive content a lot better in Destiny 2.
