Pokémon GO received some welcoming news today, in the form of brand new Pokémon from Gold and Silver, commonly referred to as Generation 2. This has been heavily implied to be coming for quite a few weeks now, with data miners finding all Generation 2 creatures and sound files in the game coding. To begin the rollout, developer Niantic has added several baby Pokémon to the game which can currently only be acquired through hatching eggs, requiring users to get out and walk. Here is a current list of what is available and which eggs they hatch from(Thanks to users submitting info to TheSilphRoad!):
- Igglybuff – 2km
- Cleffa – 2km
- Togepi -5km (can evolve into Togetic)
- Pichu- 5km
- Magby – 10km
- Elekid – 10km
- Smoochum – 10km
In addition, players now have the opportunity to find a special Holiday themed Pikachu in the wild up until December 29th. This Pikachu wears a santa hat, and evolving it into Raichu will carry it over. It shouldn’t be long until more Generation 2 Pokémon start showing up, as Niantic plans to release more over the coming weeks and months ahead.
