Over at The Pokémon Company, the entertainment giant has remained occupied on new pursuits for the Pokémon brand. One of its announcements is the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Given only a 2025 release date, there is still a lot players are interested to see in the new open-world release. Of course, the biggest takeaway is that it will return to Gen 6 in the Kalos Region.

Recently, The Pokémon Company announced a newly scheduled ‘Pokémon Presents’ showcase is coming this Thursday, February 27ths. Part of one of the announcements in the presentation, The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Champions. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

It will feature new takes on familiar mechanics, allowing rich, varied strategies for new and experienced fans alike. Players will be able to bring in Pokémon from Pokémon HOME and engage in cross-platform battles on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices,” the description for Pokémon Champions reads.

“Get ready to experience everything you love about Pokémon battles all in one place—in Pokémon Champions. This new, battle-focused game will feature familiar mechanics such as Pokémon types, Abilities, and moves, creating an environment conducive to rich and varied strategies for new and experienced Trainers alike,” an additional synopsis on the official website says.
