While plenty of the Pokémon fun that fans across the globe picked up from Nintendo & The Pokémon Company in the two plus decades since in its inception, many acquired their interest through the titular video games, animated television shows, or stacks of Pokémon cards. That or a combination of all three, The Pokémon Company aims to maintain that momentum for newer generations as time progresses.

Already, the firm shows to be eager to further establish itself with mobile titles. So far, we experienced the world-recognized Pokémon Go from Niantic alongside the late Pokémon Quest as well. But it will be this week that the newest Pokémon Unite is to be delivered for the platform now. Of course, it does not simply stop there.

In a new announcement from The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Trading Card Game Live  is the next game to hit smart phones & PC later this year for users interested to pick up Pokémon. You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below:

“Pokémon Trading Card Game Live As we look back on 25 wonderful years of Pokémon, we are once again reminded of how the Pokémon Trading Card Game has always been a strong pillar of the franchise and beloved by young and veteran Trainers alike,” Barry Sams, The Pokémon Company International vice president of the Pokémon Trading Card Game shared.  “Pokémon TCG Live will go hand in hand with the tabletop version that fans know and love, and welcomes a new era of digital play where Trainers around the world can play together regardless of their preferred platform.”

While most games require players to understand the genre it is in respectively, Pokémon Trading Card Game Live simplifies the fun that defines Pokémon to its easy to pick-up playstyle alike using physical Pokémon cards. Currently, there are plans for a soft launch in Canada with a bigger window aimed for late 2021. Additionally, there is room suggesting cross-play might be enabled with the number of platforms on the way similar to Pokémon Unite.
