Over this past weekend, Ubisoft hosted its first Ubisoft Forward online presentation to showcase some of the anticipated projects currently underway for release in the coming months. Among some of the highlights that were present during this Sunday’s livestream, Ubisoft and its same-named Toronto studio had announced that Watch Dogs: Legion would be arriving later this October for current systems and slated to ship for the next wave of console later this holiday season.

Initially, the London-set title would have arrived back in march of this year, but Ubisoft decided that the project required more development time to properly polish and refine some of the issues that might have been present at the time. In that, it is also presumed that Ubisoft Toronto also received additional time to crunch out a next-generation version of the game as well with the title among others reported to hit the newer systems.

Aligned with the new date slated for this fall, Ubisoft also shared some of the different pre-order editions that will accompany the game when it launches later this year. Among some of the versions that will include different in-game items and exclusive content, the separate Season Pass for Watch Dogs: Legion is shared to include the original 2014 title for free.

The Season Pass is included for those who decide to purchase either the Gold Edition ($99.99) or Ultimate Edition ($119.99) for Watch Dogs: Legion. Pricing for the Season Pass has yet to be disclosed on the Ubisoft Store.

This is not the first time we witnessed Ubisoft bundle prior titles in its Season Passes for recent games. The publisher did so with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey by shipping Assassin’s Creed III & Assassin’s Creed: Liberations Remastered and Far Cry 5 which offered Far Cry 3: Classic Edition. So it was almost inevitable that would come for the latest Watch Dogs entry.

However, in contrast to previous titles that received the packaged title, it is not specified if Watch Dogs: Complete Edition will be offered with a graphical upgrade/performance boost. That was essentially done for the other titles bundled, but that is not clarified for this new offer. Perhaps that could be only unique to Xbox Series X owners who purchase the Season Pass on the next-generation console since backwards compatible titles are confirmed to receive HDR support and other upgrades through its emulation process.

Do you plan on scooping up the Season Pass for Watch Dogs: Legion?

Watch Dogs: Legion is set to release on October 29, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia; coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at launch.
