Predator: Hunting Grounds Scheduled To Arrive In April 2020

Illfonic’s Predator: Hunting Grounds since its debut announcement earlier this year has grabbed quite the amount of attention leading towards the game’s release. Additionally, the title received a preview for this past August’s Gamescome Open Night Live to provide more details on the coming online project.

Now today, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced during the final 2019 State of Play live stream that the title will be releasing in Spring next year. Going more in-depth on the titular galactic hunter, players will have a selection of differing classes to choose from when playing the extraterrestrial in-game. Ranging from the balanced Hunter to the beefy Berserker and the agile Scout, players will have a variety of way to play based on their own preference as well.

Of course, this being an online title as well ,there are more than a handful of different cosmetic armor appearances that you can paint Predator as when playing the game. As for weapon, the character is equipped with a handful of different loadout options to choose from on how to pick his prey like the shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster, Smart Disc, Combstick and the iconic Wrist Blades are some that were shown in the trailer.

And for even more immersion, the trailer then goes on to suggest players to “collect your trophies” as the character de-spines the hunted humans along with a connected skull and a pool of blood. Those who choose to pre-order will receive the ’87 Predator Skin and get first hands-on with the “Ole Painless” Mini-gun.

One unexpected addition that was announced for the game was that you will also have the option to pick up the game on PC if you don’t fancy a version for PlayStation 4. Especially as the game is being published through Sony Interactive Entertainment, the idea of the game breaking exclusivity is not what we would expect. Assumably, I would suspect that the reasoning for this decision is due to the licensing provided by 20^th Century Fox who pushed for a PC version.
