Unlike Octopath being solely exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, this new title will be crafted specifically for both Android and iOS. Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be a free-to-download title that has a planned release date for this year, in Japan for now. The mobile title for starters stands out from the original 2018 game by giving fans up to eight players to play when in battle.
Though discussion of the mobile title is pretty fresh right now, the game’s studio shared that the upcoming console title is currently taking longer than expected, but this new mobile game will keep fans occupied as the next installment continues to be developed.
Mobile adaptations seem to be a growing trend as both Diablo and more recently Forza are getting their own titles in the mobile market. But depending on the audience, some favor the franchise moving over to the platform over others. How do you feel about Octopath Traveler hitting the mobile scene?
