In the realm of Bethesda’s Fallout franchise, fans that played for the decades since the inception of the series only dreamt of a live-action adaptation of this universe. While fan-made projects helped visualize what could be on the way for the hopeful path of becoming a reality, it was not until Amazon announced to be involved with materializing the production.

Using a simple teaser for the project, fans grow excited on the matters. But, it would be sometime until the show properly enters production later on. In a more recent report, it was told by Deadline that Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) will be showrunners for the TV series.

According to Deadline once more, Walton Goggins will be starring in the forthcoming television show. The Invincible and Django Unchained star is said to be the leading role for the Fallout TV adaptation reportedly as a ghoul. Likely he will portray a character that lived through the slumps of the wastelands based on the setting the show will take place on.

The decision will be a spin on the traditional story mainly Bethesda follows of a Vault Dweller departing from their underground bunker into the post-apocalyptic wastes above the surface. The only exception to this trope is Obsidian Entertainment’s telling for Fallout: New Vegas which casts you as a courier.

Previously, Todd Howard commented briefly on Fallout’s future for the video game series. In that he disclosed that talks for a new mainline installment has been tossed around, but much of the project will not be elaborated upon well until beyond the release of The Elder Scrolls VI that follows Starfield later this holiday.
