While the start of 2021 kicked off with the on-running controversy surround CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk2077, the conversation has already cooled down as players and the industry refocuses on other more prominent matters. However, while the game is now being heavily touched up following promises made by CD Projekt Red, it is only expected that the good is underway for the December-released title.

In January, CD Projekt Red issued its first of two major updates to Cyberpunk 2077 which resolved a handful of the problems met at launch on all versions. However, another issue arose from the patchwork in which CD Projekt Red issued a proper workaround for those looking for a quick remedy. And now, players await more game fixes entering February.

But, the wait looks to be a bit longer than anticipated says the Polish game studio. In that, the latest reported cyber attack that put CD Projekt Red at ransom for acquired files and even source code is now responsible for the latest update being delayed.

The thread continues, “Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get.” While an undetermined date is still framed for the patch currently, CD Projekt Red tells to expect the client’s arrival sometime in late March.

Alongside ongoing investigation as to the current virtual heist pulled on CD Projekt Red, the Polish developer is also in the middle of a couple legal disputes in response to CD Projekt Red. Most recently, it received its second class-action lawsuit for how the game operated on last-generation hardware. You can read the full report by heading here.
