Gamescom has kicked off for Microsoft with Inside Xbox showcasing a bunch of games and new hardware. One of the games shown with updates was PUBG showing off Season 4 that is coming to consoles on August 27th and has already been on PC since late July. Besides that there was another announcement we were not expecting to happen during the show and it’s that PUBG will be getting cross play between Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

There will be a public test server for the feature in September followed by a full release of the cross-platform play in October between the two consoles. There seems to be no plans right now for cross play between the three major platforms PUBG is on.
