Publisher Fabraz Announces New ‘Refractured’ Update Coming To Skellboy For Nintendo Switch, Arrives On June 6th

In January 2020, Ukiami Games’ Skellboy officially launched. However, the game entering 2021 over on the PC version of the game welcomed a new iteration of the game, Refractured. In that, the version included new additions such as co-op mode, the titular ‘Refractured mode’, and an influx on new items for players to use.

But, said version did not expand to the other versions of the game that is available on console. However, developer Ukiami Games for the past year has worked to include a new patch for Skellboy on Nintendo Switch, publisher Fabraz stated. In that, the listing for Skellboy Refractured is now available on the Nintendo eShop to pre-order.

Scheduled to arrive next month, the update is said to be a free install for current owners of Skellboy already and will feature a grandeur of improvements to the overall game atop of the tangible additions.

“Life was peaceful in the Cubold Kingdom until the king’s evil court magician got dumped by the princess,” the description for the game reads on the Nintendo eShop. “With his heart broken and his rage fueled, he called upon the evil spirits to resurrect the dead and the kingdom’s long forgotten monstrosities.

“What he doesn’t realize in his fury is that he accidentally summoned an ancient hero as well… Skippy! Travel across the beautifully rendered kingdom of Cubold and take full advantage of your resurrected, skeletal body! Swap out body parts to acquire new abilities during your adventure or pick up a new weapon to vanquish the evil magician’s lackeys.”

Back at PAX East 2019, Rectify Gaming got a hands-on with the original version of Skellboy and spoke with the musical talent behind the game, Bjoern. You can read the full feature by heading here.
