R.B.I. Baseball 16 is back this year and its sporting a bunch of new and upgrades visuals. Although it will only be a digital release, there is still a cover athlete to the game. Mookie Betts, the outfielder for the Boston Red Sox, will be the lucky athlete selected who also just so happens to have his initials be “MLB”. Pretty cool, huh?
All of the 30 stadiums have remained in the game while receiving upgrading visuals and the batting, pitching and baserunning systems have all been improved with better AI. The roster limits are still set at both 40 and 16, but a simulated schedule feature has been added. This allows you to simulate the entire season and jump right to the playoffs if you choose. Rosters will be updated throughout the season and you can track your progress by individual stat, player or team as well.
There will be online play limited to the PC and console versions only. Handheld versions of the game will be a different version with limited features. R.B.I. Baseball will launch later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC for $19.99 and $4.99 on mobile devices.
