Valve Corporation’s Dota 2 since the game’s debut going back to 2013 has been one of the most frequently played titles that games like Minecraft or Fortnite in the West have yet to surpass in concurrent players in comparison to the competitive MOBA.
The most recent update for the title drop earlier this week bringing a remodel to the game’s ranged agility hero Drow Ranger. But also debuted the newest hero to the continuously growing roster of characters with the addition of the God of War, Mars.
The Roman God is equipped with his legendary spear that can be used as a projectile which can impale the opposing enemy to any nearby tree or building. Along with his shield that offers the ability to bash and stun enemies that gets inflicted by his mythical escutcheon.
Mars is also given the ability to spawn a ring of warriors from the Ash Legion around him when enemies close in on him. But hostiles caught on the inside of the arena will be attacked and bashed by the circling soldiers. For how this will play out for Mars in competitive play is currently undetermined, but as we progress later into 2019 we will discover where he will stand then. You can read Mars’ full ability list and other details here.
