Recent Season 8 Trailer For Apex Legends Leaks Nintendo Switch Version Scheduled To Release On February 2nd

For almost two years now, Apex Legends has and continues to leave a very big impression on not only the battle royale genre, but also the first-person shooter genre as well. Stretching across major consoles Xbox & PlayStation alongside PC via Origin and later Steam, it did not surprise many that a Nintendo Switch version is underway. Originally announced during 2020’s EA Play, the port was told to ship alongside Steam that coming fall.

However, things did not go as plan, of course. In a later blog post issued by Respawn Entertainment, the developer told that more time would be required on delivering an impactful release for the Nintendo eShop. “We’re still hard at work on the port, but in order to do justice to the game and make it into the great experience Switch players deserve, our team needs more time,” the statement issued by the team reads.

Now today, Respawn Entertainment unintentionally shared new details on the coming Nintendo Switch version. In the Season 8 reveal trailer for Legend fuse, the description reveals that the port will arrive the same day as the new update – February 2nd.

As pointed out by @TitanfallBlog & ApexLegendsWiki on Twitter, the recent trailer in other languages revealed the Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to ship next month. But now, the aforementioned videos update the descriptions which removed mention of the Nintendo Switch port entirely.

For further detail on the approaching Season 8: mayhem, Respawn Entertainment gives a personal look at Fuse and his entrance into the Apex Games. Season 8 will also welcome a new weapon alongside a visual update to King’s Canyon once more. You can read the full report by heading here.
