Given the differences that are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the two in terms of raw architecture are very similar offering mirroring results as both devices are technological miracles for console gaming. However, there are clear contrasts when looking upon the two controllers available. The Xbox Series X gamepad and the DualSense are night and day comparisons with splitting characteristics.

While Sony Interactive Entertainment went the extra mile to incorporate impulse triggers, haptic feedback, and a built-in microphone, the Xbox controller is very similar to its predecessor. The only major changes include being smaller, a share button, new directional pad, and more textured grips/triggers, it is virtually identical to the accessory for the Xbox One.

But now almost two months following the release of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft is pressing its user base if players would like to see features from the DualSense on Xbox Controller. “I am aware of the features on PlayStation controllers that I wish were on the controller that came with this console,” one question reads asking if the user agrees or disagrees with the statement.

Additionally, Microsoft also presses users that received the survey if they used the new share button at all. Noted, PlayStation 4’s Dualshock 4 controller implemented the button first, so it would be likely Microsoft could be taking more suggestions from Sony’s advancements with its controller heading forward. Another question also presses on the dynamic background for the Xbox dashboard – another unique feature from PlayStation 4.

However, it is only conjecture as to what Microsoft truly desires to do with the information if deciding to trail Sony with more immersive experiences in its controllers for now. Although the firm has accumulated other features only found on the PlayStation 4 for the Xbox Series X, that does not solidify the same is guaranteed for the new controller.

What are your thoughts on the question from the survey?
