UPDATE: ReCore will release in the second half of 2016. Here is a quote from the devs:
We have not yet set a launch date for ReCore however the game will be ready in the latter half of 2016. We’ll have more to share soon on ReCore, please stay tuned.
Recore has had a lot of, I should probably say most of us, excited for its release since the announcement back at E3. A trusty dog companion, hardore third person battles and what seems like an incredible story line have all been curiosities so far. Up until now, we’ve only received the “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” response from Microsoft when they were asked about it.
Today, however, it seems as if the game has been confirmed for not only Xbox One, but also Windows 10 release as well. Recore was originally set for a Spring 2016 release on Xbox One only, but it seems to have changed according to Mike Nichols of Microsoft. The VP of Marketing spoke about the Xbox’s accomplishments for 2015 and games coming in 2016 with a breakdown of all of them. The Recore listing has been changed from Spring 2016 and now only lists 2016 with both Xbox One and Windows 10. Now, normallly this may not signal a delay but other games have maintained their Spring 2016 descriptions, so Recore may in fact be delayed until later this year.
We reached out to Xbox PR and will let you know what we hear as soon as we do. Stay tuned
