In the longing wait for some unique releases coming to Xbox, Arkane Lyon was there with the reveal of Redfall. In June 2021, the firm unveiled the first glimpse of the cooperative, vampire hunting experience. The more upsetting part was the wait as to when it will arrive. In the original reveal, it was shared that the game was slated for a 2022 release window then.
Additionally, it was uncovered the Doom/Rage developer id Software was also collaborating with the developer on Redfall. Hoping that the game would come in its scheduled time frame. But it was revealed later that 2023 would be a more realistic projection for the game. This also applies to Starfield too. One leak told Redfall would come this May in the spring earlier in January.
Now at the Developer_Direct on Wednesday, Arkane Lyon shares May 2nd is the official release date for Redfall. You can watch the gameplay deep dive in the video below:
“Danger lurks around every corner and it’s up to you to clean up the streets. Take on a variety of missions throughout the world and face down terrifying vampire underbosses to make the town a little safer for the survivors,” Bethesda Softworks senior conent manager Anne Lewis gives for Redfall’s synopsis.
“While you’re busy being the friendly neighborhood vampire hunter, you’ll also be gathering intel about the mysteries surrounding the island and its new vampire overlords — intel that will eventually lead you to the vampire gods controlling everything…” At the same show, Tango Gameworks revealed Hi-Fi Rush which shipped today in a surprise shadowdrop.
