Release Dates For Final Fantasy X/X2 & XII Switch Ports Revealed

Back in September, Final Fantasy fans on platforms like Xbox One and Nintendo Switch were blown away with the announcement that some of the franchise’s most memorable titles will be receiving their own respected ports sometime in the near future. Leaving fans unsure when the upcoming reworks will be debuting on their platform of choice, now that part of the wait is over.

Today Nintendo has announced that the upcoming ports of Final Fantasy X/X2 and Final Fantasy XII will be releasing starting in the middle of April 2019.

One title that still has yet to release its launch date is for the landmark Final Fantasy VII. For fans who have been waiting patiently for the complete remaster of the original 1997 title still have plenty of time on their hands until the game officially releases which could seem to be in the next generation of consoles. As the remaster was announced back in 2015 and we’re nearly four years since the official reveal, a Switch port can keep players busy in the meantime whenever the game is set to launch.

Final Fantasy X/X2 will be available on April 16, 2019 and following with Fantasy XII on April 30, 2019 for Nintendo Switch as well as Xbox One.
