Revealed in the financial statement, we learn that August-released Control has skyrocketed an estimated 57 percent following the initial release due to word of mouth and acclaimed reception for the new property from the Finnish developer. Remedy does cite to have doubts in marketing leading up to the release of the title which could possibly withhold more potential for the game to have sold better if done more for overall revenue.
But the juiciest part of this meat is that the developer then goes on to discuss some of the future projects that have yet to properly be announced: telling of the current state of two unnamed games being developed at the game studio.
Our third, as yet unannounced game project is proceeding well. The team working on our fourth project, Vanguard, has reached the stage of having the first internally playable development version of the game. The goal of Vanguard is to create a game that combines long-term service-based multiplayer experiences with some of Remedy’s unique game features.

Going more into detail, Remedy discloses that both properties are expected to commence pre-production very soon. On the topic of Project Vanguard, the team shares their ambitions to be towards fundamental elements for the project for the time being. “Our current focus is on back-end features required by the Vanguard project.”
Concerning the technology behind the team’s projects and the highly-impressive Northlight Engine, Remedy Entertainment also tells to be working towards preparation for the upcoming lineup of next generation hardware which are releasing in the latter of 2020. More on the talks of the team’s utilized engine, the technology is also said to “add online functionality to future games,” when transitioning to discussing Project Vanguard.
