The next title for the Borderlands franchise has been in a prolonged wait since the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel back in 2014. Looking back at this year’s lineup of E3 conferences, many were anticipating that the reveal for Borderlands 3 would be present. But as of right now, there still is no official news on the game.
Recently YouTube Channel The Triple S League posted a video regarding the anticipated title. Stating from two sources within Gearbox has started localization for the unannounced game for a few months now. Meaning that the game is being translated into different languages and reworking the UI for other countries.
This following the statement that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick that the title has been delayed into the fiscal year of 2020. Landing between April of 2019 to March 2020, the chances of seeing the true third installment in 2019 is more likely than ever.
For those who missed our report from April, we revealed that titles like Borderlands 3 and other unannounced titles will be marketed under Microsoft.
In other Borderlands related news, it was revealed that Borderlands 2 will be coming to PSVR this Holiday season.
Borderlands 3 as of right now is aimed for a release timeframe in 2019.
