Diablo fans got excited last week when Blizzard did a little tease on Twitter which might have revealed that Diablo III will be coming to the Switch.
The company later quashed the rumors by saying, “We can assure you we’re not that clever.” Now, a new report claims the long-running action-RPG series is coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console after all.
Eurogamer says its sources have informed the site that yes, Diablo is coming to Switch–specifically, it will be a port of Diablo III that makes its way to the device. The report does not state whether Diablo III’s Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions would be included in the port and does not mention a release date. An official announcement is still months away, the site says.

Even though Diablo 3 is a game from 2012, it’s a big deal that a publisher like Blizzard wants in on the Switch since lots of companies were iffy on the console before launch, but a year later things have changed as the sales are massive for the title.
