We are a week away from the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 Direct that will take place on April 2, 2025. According to Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming, there was a lout of talk about the console at GDC a week ago.
Tom Henderson claims the Nintendo Switch 2 is still planned to release in June. But what he also mentioned is that the Switch 2 will have a three-phase strategy.
The first phase of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch will be focused on first-party games on launch. The second stage will be around October to November and will focus on third-party games. The third and final phase of the launch will be during the holiday period and will focus on getting sales.
While the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is set for next week, it is believed there will be select media and content creators invited for a hands-on experience of the console around that time.
It remains to be seen what games we will see next week. It is also rumored that a Nintendo Direct is set to take place this week, but its format remains to be seen.
