As per Nintendo, the company always has a tendency to harbor monumental announcements that sends waves through the gaming industry thanks to the repertoire of intellectual properties imbedded within the DNA of the company. This past September, many were overly excited to find out that the original Xenoblade Chronicles which debuted for the Nintendo Wii would be returning with a rework of the 2010 title for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020.
Although users will have plenty of time to settle the thought of the near decade-old title to be reintroduced to the newer hardware by Nintendo, plenty are impatient to discover when exactly that will arrive to the latest console. Nintendo has been apparent with re-releases of its games with this atop of other former projects like Tokyo Mirage Session #FE and at least two more titles in development according to a report from insider Emily Rogers for this year, it is just unsure when this will all unravel.
According to a report from Express UK, the entertainment-based news outlet shares that the release date has been disclosed thanks to a retailer based in Denmark. Storefront Cool Shop lists Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for May 29th.
During further investigation made by GameXplain who initially reported the listing recently, the YouTube channel shares that Cool Shop has some history with leaking legitimate details for unreleased games ahead of the official statement made by the development team and/or publisher. Explaining that the Danish retailer listed the Street Fighter Collection back in 2017 prior to official word breaking.
The website also looks to share the box art for the game (above) alongside the already issued screenshots for the upcoming title as well. Speculation sourced from this new finding suggests that Nintendo is planning to reveal the May-listed launch date sometime soon as a separate Nintendo Direct is expected to arrive later in the coming weeks.
Do you think Cool Shop has striked again with yet another premature listing this time for Xenoblade Chronicles?
