Of course, many avid video game players can recognize the significance for 2021: it’s the 25th anniversary for Resident Evil. For most of the celebrating that the firm held earlier this year, publisher Capcom unveiled that Resident Evil 4 is receiving a Oculus Quest 2 version which is expected to arrive later this year. But, the announcements did not stop there.
Additionally, CGI TV series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is told to arrive later this July. The production is told to be a follow-up to 2017’s Resident Evil: Vendetta. However, a specific date was not released at the time. More recently, however, Netflix unveiled a time for July 8 while being accompanied by a new trailer as well.
The most exciting reveal appears to be a Dead by Daylight crossover with Resident Evil. Although only offering a teaser cinematic trailer, fans grow excited on the possibilities coming. In a new cinematic trailer, it is revealed the new Chapter is to arrive next month on June 15 and feature Nemesis alongside Jill Valentine & Leon S. Kennedy. You can watch the video below:
Taking inspiration from both the Resident Evil 2 Remake & Resident Evil 3 Remake, Behaviour Interactive is to feature Raccoon City Police Department as the new map. More exciting happens to be the addition of Nemesis: infected with the T-Virus, players must avoid being contaminated unless equipped with vaccines that can be recovered on the map. In addition, zombies will also accompany Nemesis which will attack survivors.
By extension, Leon is said to offer a potential bonus to spawn a flashbang when playing. What are you most excited about the new Resident Evil Chapter coming to Dead by Daylight?
Dead by Daylight is out now for to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
