While some did enjoy the ride that was Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil series starring Milla Jovovich, it was a surprise to swiftly learn that the film series is being reimaged shortly after the conclusion released. It wasn’t until 2020 that fans learned the casting and those responsible for the production of the film. More precisely for the new movie, it is to follow closely to the roots of the original two games.
Later on, Constantin Films went on to announce that filming has concluded for the movie with its aim to hit theaters later on this fall. However, issues arose during post-production and left with a new release date slated for mid November. Following, images for the film were posted online as per IGN and director Johannes Roberts wanted to revive the horror aspect of the Capcom series via film.
On Thursday, Sony Pictures Entertainment uploaded the first trailer for the new Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City which solidifies the November release for the film. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

The trailer’s description for the overview continues, “The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”
