Amid the wait for the upcoming reveal for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Apex Legends’ developer Respawn Entertainment, conversation has already spawned revolving around what the title could actually be. As this will be the first full reveal to experience the highly awaited title, fans are unsure of what this game might actually be since Respawn announced the project back in 2016.

As the Star Wars Celebration has already started in Chicago, information on what’s next for the franchise as a whole debuted with the trailer for the upcoming film, Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker and showcased information for the upcoming VR title, Vader Immortal. Immortal was previously announced alongside the wire-free Oculus Quest last year.

During the Day One Livestream of the event, Respawn Entertainment Boss Vince Zampella shed some light for players to grasp what the approaching title will be by revealing that the game will be all single-player and to not feature multiplayer nor microtransactions.

It’s a single-player story with no multiplayer and no microtransactions. It’s a story game.

This sudden news satisfied the crowd even more alongside excited fans who will be watching the reveal later today over the internet. Those who have been around this generation of platforms have noticed the current status for the titles from George Lucas’ film universe are aware that it has been a pretty rocky launch for both Battlefront titles from DICE. Leaving a pretty sour taste in the mouth of many fans with their first impression of the games.

But now seeing that Respawn will be at the helm for this new title could potentially bring the first truly promising title many have been expecting to endure since the debut of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4’s capabilities. Fans of the Titanfall series, especially Titanfall 2, are already familiar with how well the studio performs with a story campaign as some will say the game to be one of the more underrated titles from 2016.

Now that it is confirmed that the game will be a strictly story-focused title, those who missed the sequel to Respawn’s debuting first-person shooter will be able to fully see what the ex-Call of Duty 4 developer holds when it comes to telling the story on one of the most praised franchises in entertainment.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will receive its full reveal later today at 1:30 PM CST / 2:30 PM EST.
