In early 2021, developer Housemarque delivered Returnal to PlayStation 5. From our review, critic David Rodriguez wrote: “This intense, pulse pounding action experience on top of all of the other things I have mentioned all add up to making Returnal my favorite Playstation 5 game so far, and one of my favorite action games of the last few years. Don’t miss it, an easy front runner for game of the year.”

This is likely what led to both Housemarque and Sony Interactive Entertainment to tie the knot as the developer was acquired into the PlayStation first-party family. In one discovery on SteamDB previously, it heavily hinted at the PlayStation 5 exclusive coming to PC. And at 2022’s The Game Awards, it is finally happening.

Housemarque during the show presented a new trailer revealing the PC port with in-game footage. The game is scheduled to release sometime next year including Tower of Sisyphus with Climax Studios helming the PC version.
