Review: Chocolate Factory Simulator

4/10

Summary

Oompa, Loompa, doompa-dee-do Chocolate Factory Simulator may not be for you.

Chocolate Factory Simulator brings tedious tasks and controls bringing a frustrating experience for players. It has a lot of potential but it needs to be more player-friendly like many other simulators that have released.

Game Simulators have continued to get more interesting as time goes on and now you can make your own chocolate. Developer and Publisher Games Incubator have brought Chocolate Factory Simulator to life turning the player into Willy Wonka.

Chocolate Factory Simulator is just like any other simulator where you get a set amount of tasks and you’ll have to serve your customers. Right away when stepping into this game you’ll be overwhelmed by the amount of machines to make chocolate with. It’s almost like the Willy Wonka chocolate factory but without the Chocolate River.

You’ll have to prepare your customer’s requests for their favorite treats while building the greatest chocolate factory in history.

You’ll be handed a recipe book in Chocolate Factory Simulator that provides information on Recipes, Orders, Warehouse, Events, and more. When creating orders there are a lot of details of what the customer wants. Usually, it’s the type of chocolate that includes adding something like Almonds and Strawberries into the chocolate bar.

What’s frustrating about the gameplay experience is that you have to measure the ingredients perfectly so if you make a mistake you’ll have to dump the bowl and restart. When I first started playing I noticed the toughest part was not burning the chocolate and keeping it at the right temperature.

When preparing your chocolate and having it ready to place on the stove, your goal is to prevent it from burning. To achieve this, use a spatula to mix the chocolate continuously. Keep mixing until it reaches the desired temperature. This is a very tedious part of the simulator.

Gameplay

Overall, Chocolate Factory Simulator’s gameplay is full of tedious motions with your mouse. From pouring ingredients together to cooking the chocolate to making the bars and then shipping them the game can be very frustrating trying to do one little task within a big objective.

chocolate factory simulator review

Nothing is satisfying about Chocolate Factory Simulator. When finishing a task you are almost relieved that it’s over like a real job.

This simulator is not for everyone and it’s far from a true Willy Wonka experience like we would hope for. It is definitely missing the Oompa Loompas. Just like many games, there are many unrealistic elements such as the world you are in and how you deliver the chocolate to customers. However, with simulators, you do expect more realistic elements like we’ve seen with PowerWash Simulator or TCG Card Shop Simulator.
